TAI JI QUAN – BASICS – FIRST PART

Master Roberto Benetti, together with Franca Rizzi and Francesca Montanari, presents the first of a series of didactic videos, showing some fundamental exercises for a correct training in the practice of Tai Ji Quan.
This first video deals with the basic body structure in its three fundamental components, upper, central and lower, both under the static and the dynamic point of view (the steps). These trainings originate from those of Yang style Tai Ji Quan, but can be taken as a base reference for any Tai Ji Quan style.

24 FORM – YANG STYLE

In this video Master Roberto Benetti, together with Franca Rizzi, presents the 24 form of Yang style Tai Ji Quan.
This form, short to be performed, comes from the Tai Ji Quan techniques of the Yang family and is one of the mostly renowned forms all over the world. It is ideal for an approach to this discipline as it is easy to be learned.
After a short presentation of Tai Ji Quan, the form is performed slowly by showing the names of the 24 movements the form is composed of. The form is then performed at normal speed at first by master Benetti alone and then in couple with Franca Rizzi. The video ends with the form performed as mirror image, i.e. performed in the opposite way when compared to the normal direction of execution.

THE LONG FORM - YANG STYLE

In this video M. Roberto Benetti presents the Long Form of Yang Style Tai Ji Quan.
The Long Form is also known as "108 Form" or "85 Movements Form" and its sequence has been worked out by M. Yang Cheng Fu at the beginning of '900.
In order to support clearness in understanding, each movement is slowly executed one by one from two different look-out points.
The direct access to single movements, composing the sections, makes the study of the details and the learning of the sequence easier.

THE FIRST ANCIENT FORM OF TAI JI QUAN CHEN STYLE

In this double video Master Roberto Benetti presents the First Traditional Tai Ji Quan Ancient Form of the Chen family, made of four sections.
In order to facilitate the didactic understanding, each section is performed separately and at reduced speed from two different points of view. The direct access to the single movements of the sections, makes the study of the details and the learning of the sequence easier.

SWORD FORM - CHEN STYLE TAI JI QUAN

In this video M. Roberto Benetti presents the Sword (Jian) Form of Chen Style Tai Ji Quan.
In order to support clearness in understanding, each movement is slowly executed one by one from two different look-out points.
Moreover, the video shows an abstract of a seminar on sword held by M. Benetti and the form executed by his master, M. George Xu, during a camp.
